THE US AIRFORCE IS CONSIDERING STATIONING B-2 AND B-52 NUCLEAR READY BOMBERS ON S KOREAN (ROK) SOIL

Seoul and Washington are discussing the deployment of U.S. weaponry like B-2 stealth bombers, B-52 strategic bombers, nuclear-powered submarines and an aircraft carrier fleet which can carry out nuclear retaliation on or near the Korean Peninsula.
B-2 stealth bombers and B-52 bombers are currently stationed at Anderson Air Force Base in Guam, and nuclear-powered submarines at Yokosuka naval base in Japan.
Back in November 2010, when the North shelled Yeonpyeong Island, the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS George Washington, E-8 Joint STARS, an aircraft that can track ground vehicles, and F/A-18E/F Super Hornet fighters were deployed here for a joint exercise that was a show of force.
The ministry officially announced the ongoing consultations about the plans to use as pressure in cross-border talks that ended Tuesday morning.
Every time the North has put troops on a war footing, which has happened seven times so far, Washington deployed such so-called strategic assets here to deter the North further provocations.
The North was proved extremely sensitive to the flight of B-2s and B-52s over the Korean Peninsula during exercises.
In March 2013, when B-2s and B-52s simulated bombing in the skies over the peninsula, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un called an urgent meeting of the Supreme Command at night and put missile units on standby
