PAKISTAN OWNS ABOUT 100 NUCLEAR WARHEADS OF WHICH NOW CAN BE DEPLOYED IN ITS LATEST MISSILE SHAHEEN-III THAT HAS A RANGE OF 2735KM ENOUGH DISTANCE TO TARGET ALL OF INDIA AND EVEN ISRAEL IN 2015–AS FOR NOW THE SUNNI MUSLIMS OF PAKISTAN IS A RIVAL TO IRANS SHIITE MUSLIM WHO HAS STRIVED TO DEVELOP ITS FIRST NUCLEAR WARHEAD–AS THE DEMOCRATIC COUNTRY OF INDIA WHO PREPARES FOR ITS SECURITY AGAINST CHINA AND HISTORICALLY FIGHTS WARS WITH PAKISTAN CONTINUE TO GROW ITS MILITARY FOR ITS DEFENSIVE SOVEREIGNTY

Pakistan has test-fired a ballistic missile able to carry a nuclear warhead to every part of India. Yesterday's test was another escalation in Islamabad's effort to keep pace with its neighbouring rival's formidable military advancements.
Pakistani military leaders said the Shaheen-III missile had a range of up 2735km, which could enable it to reach deep into the Middle East, including Israel.
After the missile was fired into the Arabian Sea, the head of the military unit that oversees Pakistan's nuclear programme congratulated scientists and engineers for "achieving yet another milestone of historic significance".
The medium-range Shaheen-III is an updated version of the shorter-range Shaheen-I and Shaheen-II.
"The test launch was aimed at validating various design and technical parameters of the weapon system at maximum range," a military statement said.
Pakistani military leaders are trying to maintain a "credible deterrence" as arch rival India rapidly invests in military hardware.
In recent years, India has moved toward the creation of a missile defence system and is upgrading its air force and submarine fleet.
In 2012, it test-launched its first intercontinental ballistic missile, which it said had a range of more than 5000km.
India's growing defence budget is largely a result of its uneasy relationship with China. But it and Pakistan have fought three wars since 1947.
Nonproliferation experts say the Indian subcontinent remains a nuclear flash point.
Several Pakistani military analysts said the Shaheen-III had a range greater than that of any other Pakistani missile.
The maximum range of the earlier versions of the Shaheen missile was of about 2400km, which meant it could not reach parts of India's eastern frontier.
"Now, India doesn't have its safe havens any more," said retired Pakistan air force commander Shahid Latif.
"It's all a reaction to India, which has now gone even for tests of extra-regional missiles ... It sends a loud message: If you hurt us, we are going to hurt you back."
Some analysts say the range of the Shaheen-III could be less than Pakistani military leaders claim.
But yesterday's test could aggravate unease in parts of the Middle East, including Israel.

SEVEN FACTS ABOUT THE US ARMY THIS 2015

1. The Army is older than the country it serves.

2. If the U.S. Army were a city, it would be the tenth-largest in the United States.

3. It is also the second-largest employer.

4. Specialist is the most-prevalent rank among soldiers — by far.

5. The service burns through nearly one billion gallons of fuel every year.

6. Among U.S. Presidents with military service, most served in the Army.

7. The Army owns so much land that if it were a state, it would be larger than Hawaii and Massachusetts combined.

NOT ALL VENTURES IN SHIP BUILDING OR RELATED TO OIL EXPLORATION CAN BE PROFITABLE AS THE INTRICACIES AND COMPLEXITIES TO BUILD A FLOATING NATURAL EARTH EXPLORATION AND OFFSHORE DRILLING SHIP CAN REAP REWARDS BUT NOT SO AS THE THREE KOREAN SHIP BUILDERS HYUNDAI, DAEWOO, AND SAMSUNG RECORDS BIG 2ND QUARTER COMBINED LOSSES OF $4.095BILLION

The world's top three shipbuilders -- Hyundai Heavy Industries, Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering and Samsung Heavy Industries -- all swung into the red in the second quarter due to massive losses from offshore plant projects.
Daewoo reflected W3.1 trillion (US$1=W1,160) in accumulated losses in the April to June period, and Samsung W1.5 trillion.
The top three shipbuilders posted combined operating losses of W4.75 trillion, which marked a record low.
The losses were attributed to expensive mistakes in constructing offshore oil rigs that stemmed from a lack of experience.
Offshore plants account for 60 to 70 percent of remaining orders at Daewoo and Samsung, which leaves them wide open to additional losses.

THE RS-25 ROCKET THE MOST POWER ROCKET TO DATE WILL EVENTUALLY SEND HUMANS TO MARS GETS CLOSER TO ITS FINAL TEST OF ITS 4 ENGINES AS THE 6TH OF 7TH TEST FIRING CONCLUDED AUGUST 13TH–THE RS-25 HAS BEEN OPTIMIZED IN EFFICENCY, THRUST, AND WEIGHT TO THRUST RATIO

At 4:30 p.m. EDT on August 13, 2015, NASA conducted a developmental test firing of the rocket's engines at its Stennis Space Center in Mississippi, the sixth in a series of seven tests for the rocket's main engine. Four RS-25 engines and two solid rocket boosters of five segments each will power the 70-metric-ton rocket configuration into deep space.

"It is the most complicated rocket engine out there on the market, but that's because it's the Ferrari of rocket engines," said Kathryn Crowe, RS-25 propulsion engineer.

"When you're looking at designing a rocket engine, there are several different ways you can optimise it. You can optimise it through increasing its thrust, increasing the weight to thrust ratio, or increasing its overall efficiency and how it consumes your propellant. With this engine, they maximised all three."

The resulting engine, according to Martin Burkey of the SLS strategic communications team, blows everything we currently have out of the water.

"The RS-25 makes a modern race car or jet engine look like a wind-up toy," he said in a post on NASA's Rocketology blog.

"It has to handle temperatures as low as minus 400 degrees where the propellants enter the engine and as high as 6,000 degrees as the exhaust exits the combustion chamber where the propellants are burned. It has to move a lot of propellants to generate a lot of energy. At the rate the four SLS core stage engines consume propellants, they could drain a family swimming pool in 1 minute."

The RS-25 produces 512,000 pounds of thrust, which is over 12 million horsepower. It's powered by four turbopumps that each generate 100 horsepower for each pound of weight, with a main shaft that rotates at a rate of 37,000 rpm, compared with 3,000 rpm for a car engine traveling at 60mph (96.5km/h).

"The RS-25 is about the same weight and size as two F-15 jet fighter engines, yet it produces eight times more thrust. A single turbine blade the size of a quarter -- and the exact number and configuration inside the pump is now considered sensitive -- produces more equivalent horsepower than a Corvette ZR1 engine," Burkey wrote.

The Internet company used by Hillary Clinton to maintain her private server was sued for stealing dozens of phone lines including some which were used by the White House.

Platte River Networks is said to have illegally accessed the master database for all US phone numbers.

It also seized 390 lines in a move that created chaos across the US government.

Among the phone numbers which the company took - which all suddenly stopped working - were lines for White House military support desks, the Department of Defense and the Department of Energy, a lawsuit claims.

Others were the main numbers for major financial institutions, hospitals and the help desk number for T2 Communications, the telecom firm which owned them.

A lawsuit filed on behalf of T2 claims that the mess took 11 days to fix and demands that Platte River pay up $360,000 in compensation.

MCDONALDS TO OFFER SELF CHECK IN AND SELF CHECK OUT WHEN ORDERING YOUR FAVORITE BIG MAC–AS KIOSK WILL NOW TAKE YOUR ORDERS AND PAYMENTS WITHOUT HUMAN INTERVENTION–BEING TESTED IN CALIFORNIA AND VARIOUS COUNTRIES LIKE S KOREA AS ORIGINALLY TESTED BY THE AUSSIES

Is McDonald's Korea moving to cut jobs to fight declining sales?
The Korean unit of the U.S. fast food giant has installed self-service digital kiosks at its popular outlet in Sinchon, Seoul, which enable customers to place an order and pay the bill without having to interact with cashers.
Six touch screen technology-based kiosks were recently set up at the outlet, with more to be placed at stores in Seoul and in other areas.
"It will end up reducing employees," an industry insider said. "The digital ordering system will certainly help reduce errors or mistakes employees have made while receiving orders and handling the bill. This will enable stores to operate normally with fewer workers."
McDonald's employs nearly 18,000 people in Korea.
The industry insider said the system would also help reduce tension between the company and unionized part-time workers who have often protested at crowded outlets, calling for higher salaries and better working conditions.
"If McDonald's actually carries out job reductions, the biggest victims might be part-timers," she said.
Another insider agreed that the self-service system would allow the company more flexibility to cut jobs. But he said the reduction would be limited because many tasks required people to do them.
The automatic ordering system has created similar worries in the U.S., Australia and other countries.

THE USS GERALD R FORD THE NEXT CLASS OF NUCLEAR POWERED AIRCRAFT CARRIERS READY TO DEPLOY FOR SERVICE ALONGSIDE THE PRESENT CSG NIMITZ CLASS NUCLEAR CARRIERS DEPLOYED WORLDWIDE TO PROJECT AND PROTECT THE USA NATIONAL INTERESTS

The nuclear powered aircraft carrier (CVN), with its embarked carrier air wing (CVW), is the only maritime force capable of executing the full range of military operations necessary to protect our national interests.  From deterrence, to

humanitarian assistance, to large-scale combat operations, Carrier Strike Groups (CSGs) stand ready to answer the call in all phases of conflict.  Navies across the globe aspire to extend their influence by building aircraft carriers and developing deployment models that mirror what the United States has been doing for more than eighty years.  Our innovative leadership in this arena must continue to grow as the need for a modern aircraft carrier remains critically important to the continued freedom of navigation on the high seas.

Geopolitics and global threats require that we maintain a maneuverable and visibly persuasive force across the globe that can accomplish a number of missions, over sea and land.  The carrier is the only answer to this requirement and the future USS Gerald  R. Ford (CVN 78) will soon be underway fulfilling this critical need.

The Ford is not a notional, larger than life project that may never see the light of day.  Ford is alive and pier-side in Newport News.  Ninety percent of the actual ship is structurally complete, and multiple cutting edge systems are coming online each month.  She is nearly ready to go to sea and a community of sailors, shipbuilders, engineers, and citizens cannot wait to take her to the front lines.

Return on Investment

Despite the significant costs of developing the world’s newest aircraft carrier, the investment is absolutely critical to our national security over much of the next century.  Nuclear-powered aircraft carriers and their embarked air wings enable the U.S. to operate without a “permission slip” for host nation basing.  Ships like Ford will generate the full range of effects necessary to deter potential adversaries with minimal notice or diplomatic coordination.   It is understandable that the cost of operating 100,000 tons of fast, highly-lethal combat power should come with a high price tag, but we’ve been committed to rigorous oversight and management of cost and delivery deadlines.  Looking at cost in a vacuum without considering how unmatched warfighting power is extracted from each of those dollars would be shortsighted.  Overall, the Ford class brings improved warfighting capability, quality-of-life improvements, and reduced total ownership costs.  Together, these efforts will reduce manning by approximately 700 billets, reduce periodic maintenance, improve operational availability and capability, and reduce total ownership costs through its 50-year life by $4 billion for each ship over its Nimitz class counterpart.  With the exception of the hull, virtually everything has been redesigned; it is the first new aircraft carrier design in more than 40 years.  The ship’s design includes sophisticated new technologies that deliver capability now and will continue to grow with the incorporation of future weapons systems.  A new nuclear propulsion and electric plant on the Ford class will generate almost three times the electrical power over the Nimitz class, leading to higher aircraft sortie rates and excess power to incorporate future technologies, such as the employment of directed energy weapons.  From the Advanced Arresting Gear to engineering efficiencies, the Ford class is cutting-edge.

AFTER 37+ YEARS OF GROWTH IS THE CHINESE ECONOMY READY FOR THE BIGGEST CORRECTION AS ITS WORK FORCE AGE GROUP STARTS TO DECLINE AND ITS CONSUMPTION OF COMMODITIES TAKES A GREATER DOWNWARD CURVE

THE Chinese economy is like a cricketer who’s scored a triple century. They’ve done an incredible job and they’re still out there batting, but the odds suggest it can’t go on much longer.

37+ years of growth is a record akin to Brian Lara’s 375 against England in 1993-94. Everyone knows the knock can’t last forever.

In the last few years and months we’ve seen China look wobbly for the first time in ages.

First, its demand for commodities dropped off causing prices to drop.
