THE $4 BILLION DOLLAR CLASS DESTROYER THE USS ZUMWALT GOES TO SEA AS 1 OF THE 3 NEW STEALTH CLASS DESTROYER WORTH $22.5 BILLION STEAMS MAKING HISTORY TO PROTECT THE US SOVEREIGNTY FROM ENEMIES WITHIN AND WITHOUT

The Navy accepted delivery of future USS Zumwalt (DDG
1000), the lead ship of the Navy's next-generation of multimission surface combatants, May 20.

DDG 1000 is tailored for sustained operations in the littorals and land attack, and will provide independent forward presence and deterrence, support special operations forces, and operate as an integral part of joint and combined expeditionary forces.

Ship delivery follows extensive tests, trials and demonstrations of the ship's hull, mechanical, and electrical systems including the ship's boat handling, anchor and mooring systems as well as major demonstrations of the damage control, ballasting, navigation and communications systems.

"Today represents a significant achievement for not only the DDG 1000 program and shipbuilding team but for the entire U.S. Navy," said Rear Adm. (select) Jim Downey, DDG 1000 program manager, Program Executive Office Ships. "This impressive ship incorporates a new design alongside the integration of sophisticated new technologies that will lead the Navy into the next generation of capabilities."

The 610-foot, wave-piercing tumblehome ship design provides a wide array of advancements. The shape of the superstructure and the arrangement of its antennas significantly reduce radar cross section, making the ship less visible to enemy radar at sea.

THE ALEUTIANS ARE ERUPTING AS PAVLOF VOLCANO RELEASING PLUMES OF SMOKE AND ASH 37,000 HIGH SINCE MARCH 27

An increase in seismic activity at Pavlof Volcano, which erupted spectacularly in March, has prompted Alaska Volcano Observatory staff to step up monitoring of the Alaska Peninsula volcano.
In a brief update Friday, raising Pavlof’s alert level to watch and its aviation color code to orange, staff at the observatory said they haven’t been able to visually confirm any eruption from satellite data or camera images, due to clouds obscuring the volcano.
“At about 10:35 a.m. (Alaska time) seismic activity at Pavlof Volcano increased to levels typically associated with low-level eruptive activity and it is possible that an eruption of Pavlof Volcano may be in progress,” AVO staff wrote.

THE DEMOCRAT POTUS BHO CHAOS IS NOW DICTATING WITH THE PURSE HOW EACH STATES MUST CONDUCT ITS AFFAIRS AS THE BATHROOM GATE FOR LGBT HEATS UP TO FORCE SCHOOLS TO BE AN ASEXUAL FREE ZONE - WHEN THE LINES BETWEEN WHAT IS A MAN AND A WOMAN IS CONFUSED BY THE ORIGINATION OF CHAOS

Texas' lieutenant governor said Friday that the state is prepared to forfeit billions of federal dollars in public school funding in defiance of an Obama administration directive requiring schools to allow transgender students to use bathrooms and locker rooms consistent with their chosen gender identity.
The new directive is expected to worsen tensions between Republican-led statehouses and the federal government over divisive social issues. It clarifies expectations for districts receiving federal school funds, which Texas' powerful Republican lieutenant governor argues the state's 5.2 million public school students can now do without.

"We will not be blackmailed by the president's 30 pieces of silver," Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick said. "The people of Texas and the Legislature will find a way to find as much of that money as we can if we are forced to."

Patrick said Texas currently receives about $10 billion in federal education funding. He didn't say how that money would be replaced, and his remarks on Friday came only moments after more than half the state's 1,200 school districts lost a major lawsuit that claimed Texas unconstitutionally underfunds public schools.

The risk of not accommodating transgender students and losing federal school funds alarmed others. In Georgia on Thursday night, the Fannin County school superintendent said transgendered people are protected under the Civil Rights Act and surrendering $3 million in annual federal funding to avoid the issue isn't an option.
