In HISTORY’s The Real Face of Jesus?, a team of computer graphics artists uses cutting-edge 3D technology to answer a question that has captivated painters, sculptors, scholars and theologians for hundreds of years: What did Jesus Christ look like?

Led by Ray Downing of Studio Macbeth, these digital wizards are no strangers to reconstructing important figures for HISTORY. In 2009, they created a living, moving model of Abraham Lincoln for his bicentennial, basing it on more than 100 photographs of the 16th U.S. president. But this time, their only guide is a centuries-old cloth that many believe was Jesus’ burial shroud. Known as the Shroud of Turin, this 14-foot piece of linen bears a faint, ghostly image of a crucified man, along with dark red stains that some researchers have identified as blood.

To attempt this unprecedented feat of science and technology, Ray and his associates must rely on the most sophisticated electronic tools and software available. They must also seek out the knowledge of scientists and researchers who have grappled with the Shroud of Turin’s many mysteries. As part of their yearlong quest, Ray and his associates visit John Jackson of Colorado’s Turin Shroud Center, who in 1978 was given exclusive access to the cloth for five days of intensive scientific examination. Jackson and others have posited that the image on the Shroud of Turin contains unique three-dimensional information in the form of shading variations that indicate how close the body was from the cloth. The tip of the nose, for instance, appears darker because it was near or touching the linen at the time the imprint was formed. As Ray explains it, “It is as if there is an instruction set inside a picture for building a sculpture.”

Ray and his team use this logic as they coax a 3D model out of the two-dimensional artifact. Months into the endeavor, they realize that the fabric would have been wrapped around the face of the man buried beneath it. Thanks to this breakthrough, they can finally account for and remove the distortion in the image, achieving an accurate and lifelike 3D portrait of the man in the shroud—of a face both hidden and preserved in time.

HISTORY BEACONS ONCE AGAIN ABOUT CHRISTMAS - IT SHOWS OUR HEART

Hitler's Christmas party: Rare photographs capture leading Nazis celebrating in 1941

The pictures from December 18, which have only just come to light, show Hitler and his generals at a party for SS officer cadets in Munich.

But the Nazi Christmas was far from traditional.

Hitler believed religion had no place in his 1,000-year Reich, so he replaced the Christian figure of Saint Nicholas with the Norse god Odin and urged Germans to celebrate the season as a holiday of the ‘winter solstice’, rather than Christmas.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1341272/Hitlers-Christmas-party-Rare-photographs-capture-leading-Nazis-celebrating-1941.html

THIS SOUNDS SO FAMILIAR,  EVEN THE SAME WITH THE GERMAN PEOPLE OF THEN, AS TODAY WHEN THOSE IN POWER ARE PREVENTING THE FREE EXERCISE OF RELIGION EVEN TO THE POINT OF RE-WRITING TRADITIONS AND RE-WRITING THE HERITAGE AND CHRISTIAN HISTORY. HISTORY HAS TAUGHT US TO ACT AND NEITHER FALL BY THE WAYSIDE.

WE THE PEOPLE ALREADY HAVE A FORM OF GOVERNMENT AS EXPOUNDED BY OUR CONSTITUTION. WE DO NOT NEED ANY OTHER FORM OF GOVERNMENT. WHEN YOU HAVE THOSE IN POWER (EVEN AGENCIES) WHO RULE BY  FIAT, THIS IS TREACHERY. AS HISTORY HAVE PROTECTED THIS COUNTRY FROM ITSELF, AND WITHIN, AND OUTSIDE FORCES; BY THIS CONSTITUTION WE SHALL ALL BE GUIDED.

HOW MUCH SALARY DO WE PAY CONGRESS?

How much are members of Congress paid and what are their retirement benefits?

The current salary for all senators and members is $174,000. The salary for the speaker is $223,500 and the salary for the majority and minority leaders is $193,400.
Members of Congress are covered by the same retirement plans as other federal employees, the Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS) for those hired, or elected, before 1984, and the Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS) for those whose service began in 1984 or later. There are some differences in retirement age eligibility, years of service required, and contributions. Members elected after 1984 also participate in Social Security.
As of October 1, 2007, the average annual pension for former members under the CSRS plan was $63,696; for those under the FERS plan, $36,732.
Further information about congressional salaries, pensions, and benefits may be found at TheCapitol.Net and C-Span's Capitol Questions.

A LOOK AT THE 3 WISE GOV AGENCY (FCC, EPA, ATF)

If this is not the sign of the times of once we were a free Nation but now governed under so much scrutiny that our very existence will one day be in question too. WHERE IS CONGRESS IN ALL OF THIS.? Well...."The children were nestled all snug in their beds, While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads;"

FCC  - JULIUS "SIEZURE" - WILL NOW REGULATE THE ONCE FREE WITHOUT GOVERNMENT CONTROL INTERNET.

The Federal Communications Commission's new "net neutrality" rules, passed on a partisan 3-2 vote yesterday, represent a huge win for a slick lobbying campaign run by liberal activist groups and foundations. The losers are likely to be consumers who will see innovation and investment chilled by regulations that treat the Internet like a public utility.

There's little evidence the public is demanding these rules, which purport to stop the non-problem of phone and cable companies blocking access to websites and interfering with Internet traffic. Over 300 House and Senate members have signed a letter opposing FCC Internet regulation, and there will undoubtedly be even less support in the next Congress.

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748703886904576031512110086694.html?KEYWORDS=fcc

The "net nuetrality" passed by a 3 - 2 vote.
Last year, FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski started to fulfill this promise by proposing rules using a legal theory from an earlier commission decision (from which I had dissented in 2008) that was under court review. So confident were they in their case, FCC lawyers told the federal court of appeals in Washington, D.C., that their theory gave the agency the authority to regulate broadband rates, even though Congress has never given the FCC the power to regulate the Internet. FCC leaders seemed caught off guard by the extent of the court's April 6 rebuke of the commission's regulatory overreach.

EPA
-  LISA JACKSON - WILL NOW BAN BIOMASS AS A FUEL
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), however, plans to move full speed ahead with new regulations on January 2 that will likely cost many Americans their jobs before the New Year’s Eve party hats have even been put away.

(WHEN "THIS ONE" SPEAKS OF CREATING JOBS IS BUT RHETORIC, AS ON THE OTHER HAND THOSE "THAT ONE" HAS APPOINTED, DESTROYS THEM.)

ATF - KEN MELSON, the Acting Director of ATF. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, or ATF, has a long history of excess and overreaching … and they're at it again.

ATF's requested regulation – which is unconstitutional, violates a statutory prohibition against firearms registration schemes and was obviously filed as an "emergency" simply as a means of bypassing Congress – would be "temporary," meaning that it would have to be renewed in four or five months, and is said to only apply to gun dealers in states bordering Mexico, though the regulation, as submitted, seems to be missing that specific limitation.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO OUR MEN & WOMEN IN UNIFORM

Posted on Friday, December 24, 2010 11:53:13 PM by TSgt
“THE SOLDIERS NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS”
Twas the night before Christmas, he lived all alone In a one bedroom house made of plaster & stone.
I had come down the chimney with presents to give And to see just who in this home did live.
I looked all about a strange sight I did see, No tinsel, no presents, not even a tree.
No stocking by the fire, just boots filled with sand, On the wall hung pictures of far distant lands.
With medals and badges, awards of all kind A sober thought came through my mind.
For this house was different, so dark and dreary, I knew I had found the home of a soldier, once I could see clearly.
I heard stories about them, I had to see more So I walked down the hall and pushed open the door.
And there he lay sleeping silent alone, Curled up on the floor in his one bedroom home.
His face so gentle, his room in such disorder, Not how I pictured a United States soldier.
Was this the hero of whom I’d just read? Curled up in his poncho, a floor for his bed?
His head was clean shaven, his weathered face tan, I soon understood this was more then a man.
For I realized the families that I saw that night Owed their lives to these men who were willing to fight.
Soon ‘round the world, the children would play, And grownups would celebrate on a bright Christmas day.
They all enjoyed freedom each month of the day, Because of soldiers like this one lying here.
I couldn’t help wonder how many lay alone On a cold Christmas Eve in a land far from home.
Just the very thought brought a tear to my eye, I dropped to my knees and started to cry.
The solder awakened and I heard a rough voice, “Santa don’t cry, this life is my choice;
I fight for freedom, I don’t ask for more, My life is my God, my country, my Corps.”
With that he rolled over and drifted off into sleep, I couldn’t control it, I continued to weep.
I watched him for hours, so silent and still, I noticed he shivered from the cold night’s chill.
So I took off my jacket, the one made of red, And I covered this Soldier from his toes to his head.
And I put on his T-shirt of gray and black, With an eagle and an Army patch embroidered on back.
And although it barely fit me, I began to swell with pride, And for a shining moment, I was United States Army deep inside.
I didn’t want to leave him on that cold dark night, This guardian of honor so willing to fight.
Then the soldier rolled over, whispered with a voice so clean and pure, “Carry on Santa, it’s Christmas day, all is secure.”
One look at my watch, and I knew he was right, Merry Christmas my friend, and to all a good night!

TOPICS: Chit/Chat; Military/Veterans
KEYWORDS:
The worst Christmas I can remember was the one I spent in the middle of the desert 40km south of Iraq. I kept myself busy to pass the time but could not stop thinking about my family back home and the various Christmas traditions that I would miss that year. Tonight some Soldier, Sailor and Airmen is somewhere far away from their family this Christmas. Let's please not forget about them.
Merry Christmas to all my FReeper friends,

ANOTHER FEDERAL AGENCY (ATF) - CREATED AGAINST US

ANOTHER RUN AWAY AGENCY, MAKING THEIR OWN LAWS. WILL THIS EVER STOP AND WILL CONGRESS EVER FIND IT BOLD TO CORRAL THESE RUNAWAY AGENCIES.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, or ATF, has a long history of excess and overreaching … and they're at it again.
Using exaggerated reports of gun smuggling from the U.S. into Mexico as their justification, the agency has filed for an emergency regulation requiring gun dealers to keep track of their customers and file special reports to ATF whenever a customer purchases more than one semi-automatic rifle within any 5-day period. Such special reporting is already required for multiple sales of handguns and has proven to be thoroughly useless as a law enforcement tool.

First, it will have little effect on gun smuggling in Mexico, for smugglers familiarize themselves with the laws they are breaking. They will easily avoid ensnaring themselves in such an obvious trap.
Second, while the actual number of guns that arrive in Mexico from the USA is impossible to determine, we know that the number being reported is inflated since the ATF only traces those guns selected by the Mexican authorities. There is strong evidence that American civilian gun shops are only one of many sources of guns in Mexico, and a minor one at that. Pictures of confiscated arms in the Mexican press routinely include grenades, rocket launchers and heavy machine guns, arms that aren't in the U.S. civilian inventory.
Finally, the proposed multiple-sale scheme places a significant burden on dealers and puts them at increased risk of prosecution for clerical errors if they fail to detect a repeat buyer in a timely fashion.
You can tell the ATF and Congress that you oppose the ATF's overreach through any − or all − of the following ways:
  1. Call the Office of Management and Budget, Office of Information and Regulation Affairs, Department of Justice, desk officer at (202) 395-6466
  2. E-mail Barbara A. Terrell, ATF, Firearms Industry Programs Branch at Barbara.Terrell@atf.gov
  3. Call your senators and representative through the United States Capitol Switchboard: 202-224-3121
There is no such thing as reasonable infringement on liberty.

TSA IS NOW THE BIG BULLY IN TOWN (SS) MORE LIKE IT

WHEN SOMEONE TELLS THE TRUTH AND WHISTLE BLOWS ON THE TSA PROCEDURE WATCH OUT FOR THE CATTLE PRODS WILL COME OUT TO STICK YOU UP.

"And the message was you've angered us by telling the truth and by showing America that there are major security problems despite the fact that we've spent billions of dollars allegedly to improve airline safety," Werno said.
The pilot said he is not in trouble with his airline, but a supervisor asked him to remove public access to the YouTube videos.
He does, however, face potential civil penalties from the TSA. He said he would likely go public when it becomes clear what the government plans to do with him.

The pilot's attorney, Don Werno of Santa Ana, said he believed the federal government sent six people to the house to send a message.

SACRAMENTO, CA - An airline pilot is being disciplined by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) for posting video on YouTube pointing out what he believes are serious flaws in airport security.
The 50-year-old pilot, who lives outside Sacramento, asked that neither he nor his airline be identified. He has worked for the airline for more than a decade and was deputized by the TSA to carry a gun in the cockpit.
He is also a helicopter test pilot in the Army Reserve and flew missions for the United Nations in Macedonia.
Three days after he posted a series of six video clips recorded with a cell phone camera at San Francisco International Airport, four federal air marshals and two sheriff's deputies arrived at his house to confiscate his federally-issued firearm. The pilot recorded that event as well and provided all the video to News10.

WHEN THE MAIN PURPOSE OF THIS GESTAPO LIKE GOVERNMENT AGENCY (TSA) IS TO HARASS THE AMERICAN  CITIZEN, THEY ARE NO MORE THAN A PARA-MILITARY ORGANIZATION WORKING OUTSIDE THE U.S. CONSTITUTION SUPPRESSING THE VERY FREEDOM WE THE PEOPLE HAVE BEEN ENDOWED BY OUR FOUNDERS AND BY OUR CREATOR. THIS IS NOT AN AGENCY WHO IS HERE TO PROTECT US HEADED BY HOMELAND SECURITY JANET NAPOLITANO.

AND ONE MORE THING, WHERE ARE THE PRESS CHECKING INTO THIS ORGANIZATION THAT HAVE BEEN GIVEN ALL POWERS? THEY HAVE SIMPLY BURIED THEIR OWN CONSTITUTIONAL RESPONSIBILITY TO LOOK INTO WHAT IS THIS GOVERNMENT DOING UNTO US. IT TOOK ONE LONE RANGER WITH ENOUGH GRIT TO EXPOSE THE FARCE  OF AN AGENCY USING ALL SMOKE AND MIRRORS.

THE PRESIDENT IS NO REAGAN NOT EVEN CLOSE

(When you give your hand about your intention of eliminating nuclear weapons in your own country and negotiate accordingly you get nothing in return as fully explained in the article from WND. This President has not only given the cart and buggy but also the horse to boot. What we have ladies and gentlemen is a weak President who willfully wanted a treaty and boasts he has won a treaty but instead he has been out maneuvered by the Russians and in fact has given away this country's security and safety. This lame treaty has been endorsed by the the same lame duck Senators. I'm glad our faith is not with this narcissistic individual but with YHWH.)

WASHINGTON – The lame-duck Senate voted 71-26 today to ratify President Obama's strategic arms reduction treaty with the Russians, which numerous Reagan and Bush administration defense experts say will put America at a strategic disadvantage.
The Obama administration is "intent on putting the United States out of the nuclear weapons business," said Frank Gaffney, president of the Center for Security Policy and a former acting assistant secretary of defense for security policy.

The so-called New START treaty limits each side to 1,550 strategic nuclear weapons but fails to address the massive 10-1 Russian advantage in tactical nuclear weapons. Disputes over interpretation of the treaty may allow the Russians to expand their nuclear advantage even further.

"The Russians have said we cannot make any qualitative or quantitative improvements on the strategic defenses we already have," Cooper added, pointing out that the U.S. needs to deploy new defenses against newly developing threats from countries other than Russia.
"We may need to deploy Aegis missiles at bases in Florida, Texas and Louisiana," Cooper told WND.

Consider this an award winning proposition from Congress:

LET THE LEFT GRIT IN PAIN "PALIN MAY GET A SECOND SEASON"

The television popularity of Alaska’s “mama grizzly” former governor may mean a second season for TLC’s “Sarah Palin’s Alaska.”
According to PopEater, the rugged outdoors and folksy charm of the Palin family have been “such a huge hit” for TLC that the network is working to get the former governor to sign up for season two.
Last week’s episode — guest-staring reality TV diva Kate Gosselin and her eight kids — drew more than 3 million viewers for the cable network. “That is more people than are watching Bravo‘s ’Housewives’ series or most other cable shows,” PopEater reports. “For sure the network is doing everything it possibly can to convince Sarah to do another season, but at the end of the day it looks like it will all come down to money.”
“Sarah knows to strike when the iron is hot and started talking about season two right after the show debuted to huge numbers,” a friend of Palin’s reportedly told PopEater. “She knows that celebrities get millions of dollar for each episode of their shows and thinks she’s worth it too.”

THIS PRESIDENCY SHOULD BE CALLED THE BACK DOOR ADMINISTRATION

There's plenty to be expounded on the back door President who can only get passage on legislation past the late hours of the night (OBAMACARE). And then in brevity of time, passing a watermelon worth of legislation through the lame duck's session, not through normal passages, but indeed behind the back of those 111th Congress who alas have already been sent home with their tales between the legs of  the Honorable President Obama. So before the losers mightily leave in gracious fashion, they prefer to leave a trail of legislative destruction. HO HO HO Merry Christmas and to all a goodnight.

The back door legislation by the 111th Congress and the Honorable RINOs:

1. HR2965 - To amend the Small Business Act with respect to the Small Business Innovation Research Program and the Small Business Technology Transfer Program, and for other purposes. With S4022, S4023 - A bill to provide for the repeal of the Department of Defense policy concerning homosexuality in the Armed Forces known as "Don't Ask, Don't Tell".

The vote in the Senate included the support of eight Republicans: Burr, Ensign, Sens. Susan Collins (Maine), Olympia Snowe (Maine), Lisa Murkowski (Alaska) and Scott Brown (Mass.), as well as retiring Sen. George Voinovich (Ohio) and freshman Sen. Mark Kirk (Ill.).

WE ARE PAST THE SNOW JOB FROM THIS ADMINISTRATION.

Wed Dec 22, 4:42 pm ET

WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama says the economy will be his "singular focus" over the next two years.
He says the nation is past the "crisis point" in the economy, and that he'll now be working to bring down the jobless rate and equip the nation to compete with the rest of the world.  (HELL YAH)

TODAY: Obama pledges 'singular focus' on economy...

January 21, 2010|By Ed Henry, CNN Senior White House Correspondent

President Obama already was planning to put a heavy focus on jobs and the economy in next week's State of the Union address, but his top aides are signaling that pivot is going to be even sharper in the wake of the Democrats' stunning election defeat in Massachusetts.

ONE YEAR AGO: 'Obama to focus hard on economy'...

WASHINGTON — Even before Barack Obama took the oath of office, his economic advisers projected that without hundreds of billions of dollars in government spending, the U.S. economy could lose another 3 million to 4 million jobs on top of the 3.1 million lost in 2008.
It turns out they were optimistic. Even with the $787 billion stimulus package that Obama signed in February, more than 4 million jobs have been lost in 2009, the worst year for job losses since World War II. The jobless rate that advisers projected would peak at 8% has topped 10%.

So in the midst of major decisions on Afghanistan, health care and climate change, the president today turns his attention back to a problem he tried to solve already — and one that's sure to dominate next year's elections, when his Democratic majorities in Congress will be at stake.

Obama convenes a summit here on jobs, then flies Friday to Allentown, Pa., for the first in what will be periodic listening tours on the economy. The goal is to develop new spending and tax proposals to help many of the nation's nearly 16 million unemployed people find work in 2010.

TWO YEARS AGO: Obama to put 'renewed focus' on economy...

THE 112TH CONGRESS TO THE RESCUE

"The Pledge to America released by House Republicans in September of this year included a commitment to 'require every bill to cite its specific constitutional authority.' To implement this proposal, the Transition Team and the elected Republican leadership are recommending a change to standing Rules of the House to require that each bill or joint resolution introduced in the House be accompanied by a statement citing the specific powers granted to Congress in the Constitution to enact the proposed law," said a memo from leadership to members of the House.

The published memo from Boehner, Majority Leader-elect Eric Cantor and others, said the new requirement for a citation of constitutionality "will apply to all bills and joint resolutions introduced in the 112th Congress – including those introduced on the first day."
The proposed text of a new paragraph in Rule XII:

"(c) A bill or joint resolution may not be introduced unless the sponsor has submitted for printing in the Congressional Record a statement citing as specifically as practicable the power or powers granted to Congress in the Constitution to enact the bill or joint resolution. The statement shall appear in a portion of the Record designated for that purpose and be made publicly available in electronic form by the Clerk."
Even the soon-to-be former House speaker, Pelosi, will be granted no slack.
"When a member presents a bill or joint resolution for introduction and referral (when it is dropped in the 'hopper'), the bill must be accompanied by a separate sheet of paper citing the constitutional authority to enact the proposed bill or joint resolution," the plan specifies.
Examples it provided included:

  • "This bill is enacted pursuant to the power granted to Congress under Article I, Section 8, Clause 3 of the United States Constitution."

  • This bill makes specific changes to existing law in a manner that returns power to the states and to the people, in accordance with Amendment X of the United States Constitution.
"It is the responsibility of the bill sponsor to determine what authorities they wish to cite and to provide that information to the Legislative Counsel staff," the memo said. "The adequacy and accuracy of the citation of constitutional authority is matter for debate in the committee and in the House. The rule simply requires that the bill be accompanied by a constitutional authority statement."
No statement? No bill, said the memo.

THE DREADFUL LEGACY OF THE 111TH CONGRESS

FOR WHOM THE BELL TOLLS IT TOLLS FOR THEE.  AS THE YEAR IS WINDING DOWN ON THIS 111th CONGRESS THEIR LEGACY OF DESTRUCTION CONTINUES AS LED BY THIS PRESENT PRESIDENCY. THIS IS ALL BEING ACCOMPLISHED DURING THE LAME DUCK SESSION, AND EVEN AGAINST THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE; BUT THEN HAS THIS STOPPED THEM FROM LISTENING TO THE PEOPLE.  COME NEW YEARS EVE IT WILL BE A VERY THANKFUL ONE INDEED.

The latest Democratic victory: A 67-28 vote Tuesday closing off debate on the President’s New START treaty with Russia limiting nuclear arms.

(MIGHT AS WELL GIVE THIS COUNTRY AWAY FOR WITHOUT STRENGTH WE HAVE NO BARGAINING POWER - BUT THEN THIS HAS BEEN THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION'S AGENDA TO GIVE AWAY THIS COUNTRY AS A PRIZE TO THE ENEMY WHO WANTS TO RAPE IT. WHAT WE HAVE ARE TRAITORS AMONGST OUR MIDST)

Several other key pieces of legislation passed during Democrats’ lame-duck revival:

  • A repeal of “don’t ask, don’t tell,” which political wags say will fire up the liberal base whose energy was markedly lacking in the midterm elections.
  • Completion of a food safety bill that grants the federal government broad new power to inspect food processing plants, while raising the standards for food imported into the United States.
  • Republicans agreed to ease a blockade that had stopped about 20 of President Obama’s judicial nominations from being seated on the federal bench.
  • The continuing resolution to fund the government includes an amendment that institutes President Obama’s proposal for a two-year freeze in federal worker pay.
  • In an administrative rather than congressional decision, the FCC moved Tuesday to impose limited “net neutrality” regulations on Internet providers, a move strongly opposed by Republicans. The ruling is widely expected to be challenged in the courts.
(NOT TO MENTION OBAMACARE WHICH THANKFULLY WAS NOT FUNDED DURING THE OMNIBUS LAME DUCK ATTEMPT OF PASSAGE AND NOT EVEN TO FORGET 700 BILLION IN TARP LOANS. THIS CONGRESS HAS BEEN A DREADNOUGHT SPENDER WILLING TO DESTROY WE THE PEOPLE'S FUTURE.)

(TO TOP THE TREE OFF, THE 111th CONGRESS LOVES TO SPEND TO A WHOPPING 2 TRILLION  DOLLARS OVER SPENDING IN THE 2010 BUDGET. CONSIDER THAT 2009 WAS ONLY 1.4 TRILLION IN OVER SPENDING.)

(Reuters) - The U.S. government fell deeper into the red in fiscal 2010 with net liabilities swelling more than $2 trillion as commitments on government debt and federal benefits rose, a U.S. Treasury report showed on Tuesday.

The government's net operating cost, or deficit, in the report grew to $2.080 trillion for the year ended September 30 from $1.253 trillion the prior year as spending and liabilities increased for social programs. Actual and anticipated revenues were roughly unchanged.

The biggest increase in net liabilities in fiscal 2010 stemmed from a $1.477 trillion increase in federal debt repayment and interest obligations, largely to finance programs to stabilize the economy and pull it out of recession.  (WHAT DID WE GET FROM THIS? NOTHING!!!!! BUT MORE UNEMPLOYMENT)
The overall projection, including for those under 15 years of age and not yet born, is much rosier, with the 75-year projected cost falling to $30.857 trillion from last year's projection of $43.878 trillion.

MERRY CHRISTMAS 111TH CONGRESS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR AND GOOD RIDDANCE. GO HOME ALREADY!!!!!! WE DO NOT WANT ANYMORE OF YOUR LEGISLATION.

BY THE WAY WE CANNOT HAVE FREEDOM ON THE INTERNET - care of Julius "Siezure"

Tomorrow morning the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) will mark the winter solstice by taking an unprecedented step to expand government's reach into the Internet by attempting to regulate its inner workings. In doing so, the agency will circumvent Congress and disregard a recent court ruling.

For years, proponents of so-called "net neutrality" have been calling for strong regulation of broadband "on-ramps" to the Internet, like those provided by your local cable or phone companies. Rules are needed, the argument goes, to ensure that the Internet remains open and free, and to discourage broadband providers from thwarting consumer demand. That sounds good if you say it fast.

THESE PEOPLE JUST HATE THE FACT THAT THEY CANNOT CONTROL THE PEOPLE FROM PERSONAL FREEDOM. SO THEY MUST CONTROL IT SOMEHOW BY WHATEVER MEANS POSSIBLE.
