STRUCTURE:
SIMPLE - A sentence consisting of one independent clause that expresses a complete thought.

Is it a helping verb or a linking verb?
Is the verb followed by (A) a form of another verb? or (B) a noun or adjective
(A) most likely a helping verb

the same, it is a linking verb. Otherwise you need to check to see if the verb is a
transitive or intransitive verb.
