Metaphorically, Obamacare has just now walked onto the balcony and has begun to speak to its subjects, us Americans, who will be held captive by its new regime of laws, regulations and distortions. Despite widespread positive coverage from the mainstream media, liberal celebrities, and even politicians who accuse opponents of racism, doubts are coalescing. Popular support has never been that strong, and people are only now coming face to face with the real problems of Obamacare, and they don’t like them.
The media is starting to cover horror stories of healthcare premiums doubling and tripling, and thousands of workers getting laid off or converted to working less than 30 hours a week. Doctors are retiring to avoid having to deal with it. Retired workers are losing their insurance and told to go to the Obamacare exchanges or coverage. Health insurance companies are exiting states. A new problem has also emerged: Americans are being told of a newly-discovered Obamacare “family glitch,” in which many workers will be able to keep their healthcare coverage but their spouses and children will be dropped.
The hundreds of millions of dollars spent by the Obama administration to provide paid “navigators” to “get the word out,” and help from liberal celebrities can only sugar-coat things so long. Within the next few weeks Americans will receive notices in the mail describing the true, terrible details of changes to their healthcare coverage.

A majority of voters want the California bullet train project stopped and consider it a waste of money, even as state political leaders have struggled to bolster public support and make key compromises to satisfy critics, a USC Dornsife/Los Angeles Times poll found.
Statewide, 52% of the respondents said the $68-billion project to link Los Angeles and San Francisco by trains traveling up to 220 mph should be halted. Just 43% said it should go forward.
The poll also shows that cracks in voter support are extending to some traditional allies, such as Los Angeles-area Democrats, who have embraced the concept of high-speed rail as a solution to the state's transportation problems. The survey results suggest that the current plan and its implementation are of specific concern to those voters, according to officials with the Republican and Democratic firms that jointly conducted the poll.
I don't think they are against the concept, but they are against the way it is being executed," said Drew Lieberman of Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research, a Democratic polling firm in Washington.
The massive project has fallen a year behind schedule and is facing lawsuits that threaten to stall the momentum of the project and a groundbreaking now likely to come early next year.

A list of over 300 employers who have allegedly cut their employees’ hours to avoid a tax associated with President Barack Obama’s signature healthcare law was published this week by a prominent investors website.
Investors.com released the list of 313 employers on Wednesday.
“In the interest of an informed debate, we’ve compiled a list of job actions with strong proof that ObamaCare’s employer mandate is behind cuts to work hours or staffing levels,” said Investors.com.
“As of Sept. 25, our ObamaCare scorecard included 313 employers. Here’s our latest analysis, focusing on cuts to adjunct hours at nearly 200 college campuses,” it added.

House Republicans on Saturday afternoon released a copy of their "Pay Our Military Act," which the House is expected to pass sometime this weekend.
The bill, H.R. 3210, would appropriate funds to pay the military at any time in 2014 when appropriations are not in effect, such as a government shutdown. It also allows the government to keep paying civilian personnel and contractors that the Defense Department deems to be helping the military.
Republicans are hoping to pass this bill, along with an amended short-term spending bill, this weekend. The spending bill would delay ObamaCare for a year and eliminate the medical device tax.
A man calling himself “Officer Franklin” is posing as a federal agent to rob people on the South Side.
The man approaches victims in a tan SUV, pulls over to talk to people on the sidewalk and identifies himself as an agent or “Officer Franklin,” according to a community alert from Area South detectives.
The robber convinces people to get into the SUV under the guise of a criminal investigation, then drives them a short distance and robs them with a silver semi-automatic handgun, police said. He does not show police credentials or wear a uniform.
The robberies happened about 3 p.m. Sept. 15 in the 7700 block of South Colfax Avenue and about 2:10 p.m. Tuesday in the 8100 block of South Paxton Avenue, police said.
The man is described as a 40- to 50-year-old bald black man with a medium to dark complexion, police said. He is about 6-foot, 250-pound black man with sideburns.

With those increases, Congress has added $43,000 in debt for every American householdin just the last four years.
And now the debt limit deadline is looming again. Treasury will run out of tricks to keep paying the bills on October 17, Secretary Jack Lew announced yesterday.
Instead of pursuing significant spending cuts and entitlement reforms that are desperately needed to get spending under control, House Republicans reportedly are proposing to suspend the debt ceiling for more than a year, which would add $1.1 trillion to the debt.
So, take that $43,000 per household that was added in the last four years and tack on another $8,800 per household.

The president took time at the end of that announcement to say he is prepared to negotiate with Republicans over the nation’s finances, but he made clear he wouldn’t do that with the threat of a shutdown or a potentially catastrophic debt default looming in a couple of weeks.
He reiterated that he would not gut his signature health care law, and said that while he is interested in ideas Republicans may have to improve it, he won’t take them up under the threat of a shutdown.
“House Republicans will have to decide whether to join the Senate and keep the government open or shut it down,” he said.
Obama warned that the “grandstanding has real effects on real people,” including military personnel who will not get paid on time and loans that will be frozen.

Speaking from the White House Friday, Obama revealed that he spoke with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, the first such communication since 1979, to tackle the Islamic country’s nuclear program.
“President Rouhani has indicated that Iran will never develop nuclear weapons,” Obama said. “I have made clear that we respect the right of the Iranian people to access peaceful nuclear energy in the context of Iran meeting its obligations. So the test will be meaningful, transparent and verifiable actions, which can also bring relief from the international sanctions we have in place.”
Later, when addressing the domestic front, Obama talked about the importance of not allowing a government shutdown and approving an increase in the debt ceiling, criticizing congressional Republicans over demands to defund Obamacare.

You read that right. The first QF-16 drone flew over Florida last Thursday as a part of a program led by Boeing to convert retired F-16s into QF-16 Full Scale Aerial Targets for U.S. pilots to shoot down.

Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Seymour Hersh says that the raid which killed Osama Bin Laden in 2011 is “one big lie” and that “not one word” of the Obama administration’s narrative on what happened is true.
In a wide-ranging interview published today by the Guardian, Hersh savages the US media for failing to challenge the White House on a whole host of issues, from NSA spying, to drone attacks, to aggression against Syria.
On the subject of the Navy Seal raid that supposedly resulted in the death of the Al-Qaeda terror leader, Hersh remarked, “Nothing’s been done about that story, it’s one big lie, not one word of it is true.”
Hersh added that the Obama administration habitually lies but they continue to do so because the press allows them to get away with it.
“It’s pathetic, they are more than obsequious, they are afraid to pick on this guy [Obama],” Hersh told the Guardian.
The raid that supposedly led to Bin Laden’s death has been shrouded in mystery for over two years. Speculation that the Obama administration may have embellished or outright lied about the true account of what happened has persisted, mainly because the White House has refused to publicly release images of Bin Laden’s body.
Although the White House said the corpse was immediately “buried at sea” in line with Islamic tradition, it quickly emerged that this was not standard practice.
Numerous analysts have claimed that Bin Laden had in fact been dead for years and that the raid on his alleged compound in Pakistan was little more than a stunt.
Other questions also persist, such as why the narrative and timeline of the raid has changed multiple times, why the White House initially claimed that “situation room” photos showed Obama watching the raid live when in fact there was a blackout on the live feed, and whyneighbors in the immediate area surrounding the compound said with absolute certainty that they had never seen Bin Laden and that they knew of no evidence whatsoever to suggest he lived there.
During the rest of the Guardian interview, which is well worth reading in its entirety, Hersh lambastes the corporate press and particularly the New York Times, which he says spends “so much more time carrying water for Obama than I ever thought they would.”
Hersh’s solution is to shut down news networks like NBC and ABC and fire 90% of mainstream editors, replacing them with real journalists who are outsiders and not afraid to speak truth to power.
“The republic’s in trouble, we lie about everything, lying has become the staple,” concluded Hersh.

Secretary of State John Kerry has defied the Senate and decided that he, not the representatives of the people of the United States, knows best about foreign treaties. Back in March, Senator Jim Inhofe (R-OK) introduced an amendment to a budget bill that said the Senate would not support the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty. His amendment passed by a vote of 53 – 46, with Republican opposition to the treaty unanimous, and several Democrats also voting with the Republicans. Does that matter to Secretary of State Kerry or his boss, President Barack Obama? No way. On Wednesday September 25, some 6 months after the Senate vote, John Kerry signed the treaty and added the United States to the list of countries who were joining the agreement.
Interestingly, our neighbor to the north and good friend, Canada, has chosen not to sign on to the UN treaty over concerns about private gun ownership in Canada. See, the Canadian government is worried that by signing the treaty, the law may inhibit the ability of lawful Canadian gun owners to carry their own firearms. Concern over gun rights has kept Canada from signing on, but our leadership has rushed headlong into this treaty with nary a concern about the rights of our citizens. The decision by Canadian leaders to stay out of the treaty has of course angered the left and their liberal media, who are using the fact that “even” the United States has signed on as a weapon to bludgeon Canada’s conservative government. But what the liberal Canadian media is not saying is that no treaty can be agreed upon by the Executive Branch without 2/3 support of the Senate.

The American defenders came back from an 8-1 deficit last week to win eight consecutive races and claim victory in the first-to-nine series.
Ainslie, who was only brought into the Oracle crew midway through the final series with the defenders on the ropes, is the first British sailor to be onboard the winning boat in an America's Cup since Charlie Barr, skipper of defenders Columbia for three consecutive regattas in 1899, 1901 and 1903.
The victory is particularly poignant for the four-time Olympic champion, who lost one of his closest friends, 2008 Olympic champion Andrew 'Bart' Simpson, in a training accident in May when the latter's Artemis AC72 challenger capsized on the same San Francisco race course.
The video begins innocuously enough. A blue Toyota Prius rental car pulls into the parking garage of the Washington navy yard at 7.53am on 16 September, then a man wearing a blue striped shirt with a backpack over his shoulder enters building number 197.
Suddenly, the mundane events of an ordinary Monday morning turn to images of horror. In the next clip the man is captured walking down a corridor, apparently calmly, with a Remington 870 shotgun in his hands. He pokes the barrel of the gun, sawed off for maximum impact, into the offices he passes at the start of the one-hour rampage that would end with the killing of 12 random victims, four wounded survivors and his own death.
The man is Aaron Alexis, 34, the shooter in the Washington navy yard tragedy who was trapped in the delusion, FBI agents said, that he was controlled by Extremely Low Frequency (ELF) electromagnetic waves. Stills images released by the bureau give clues to that delusion, and that he was prepared to die in carrying out his actions.
Etched into the left side of the receiver of the gun was the expression: "My ELF weapon!" Alongside it was the phrase: "Better off this way!" On the other side of the receiver the sentence had been scratched: "Not what y'all say!" And on the barrel itself was written: "End to the torment!"

Congressman Peter King (R-N.Y.) made it abundantly clear on Wednesday that he does not care for Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas). Appearing on CNN, King called the Texas Republican a “fraud” and compared him to a “kamikaze pilot” who is only concerned about his own self-interests.

He said Cruz’s 21-hour anti-Obamacare speech was like the Charge of the Light Brigade” or a “kamikaze pilot.”
“He’s not standing on principle, I don’t know what he’s standing on,” King said. “But he’s standing for a strategy that can’t work. It’s going to personally help him as far as his political status, but it’s going to be bad for the county, bad for the Republican Party.”
When he was asked if his constituents would want him to defund Obamacare, even if it meant a government shutdown, the congressman told Anderson Cooper “no” and “those I’ve spoken to think he’s crazy.”
At the end of the day, Cruz is nothing more than a “medicine man selling goods he knows are phony goods,” according to King.
But he still wasn’t done bashing his fellow Republican.
Congressman King claimed that Cruz has been trying to intimate members of the GOP with “implicit threats of primaries” if they don’t vote the right way.

In the background and hidden away from the general public, the lawsuit Sissel vs. US Dept. of Health and Human Services moves forward and is one step closer the US Supreme Court. President Obama, Sen. Harry Reid and the liberal mainstream media don’t want any of you to know about this lawsuit that could remove the very heart of Obamacare – the insurance mandate.
The lawsuit is based upon Article 1, Section 7 of the United States Constitution, commonly known as the Origination Clause, which states:
“All Bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with Amendments as on other Bills.”
Once the Supreme Court ruled that the insurance mandate was a tax, that meant the bill violated this section of the Constitution. The lawsuit, filed on behalf of Matt Sissel by Pacific Legal Foundation, contends that the bill that became known as the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act originated in the US Senate and not the House, as required by the Constitution. They claim that Sen. Harry Reid used procedural gimmicks to launch the bill and therefore Obamacare violates the Origination Clause.

This is not the headline you see this weekend. More typical is “House Republicans pass deep cuts in food stamps” like the New York Times. It is not until deep in the article you realize the “deep” cuts of 40 Million are over 10 years. That’s for a program that will still spend $700 Billion with a “B” after the deep cuts. Two other provisions included with the trimming are to drug test recipients if they want our generosity and preventing lottery winners from receiving food stamps.
No one can deny that when the Democrats control government food stamps are needed for some to get by. That is why it was so easy for Democrats to have a parade of victims who they claim would starve if a 5% cut is enacted. Nancy Pelosi stated it was a brutal cut in feeding the American people. The Washington Post claimed it hurt women and children most. David Beckman well paid president of “Bread for the World” stated the 5% cuts are doing away with all food charity in the country.
In a country whose poor are not fighting hunger but obesity is the food stamp program really run efficiently? Food stamps or SNAP comes not from the Department of Health and Human Services but 80% of the department of Agriculture’s budget. The American taxpayers deserve not only an honest assessment of each “welfare” program but that every dollar is watched carefully. Stories of abuse of the system are rampant. By midafternoon, the Al-Kidmat Foundation charity had packed 78 corpses into coffins, said Hameed Ullah, the group’s senior coordinator, as it scrambled to collect more coffins from around the city. “The death toll may rise,” said Zaheerul Islam, Peshawar’s deputy commissioner.
No group claimed immediate responsibility for Sunday’s attack, but militant Islamist groups active in the area came under suspicion.
