If history were unbiased, the Obama administration would be remembered as the most scandal-plagued administration in American history. But we all know that history is frequently warped. However, if history is simply biased, then the present is absolute chaos. The present is a deluge of lies drenching the American people, and because we are in the thick of it, many cannot tell the difference between truth, and lies. Because the media is so fervently devoted to the left, they have crated a fantasy world in which liberal policies are flawless, and liberal politicians are pure-hearted, benevolent semi-deities who have nothing but light to shine on the peasantry.

Many who are under the spell of the Democratic magicians write off Obama’s numerous scandals as targeting by conservatives. They don’t see the connective tissue between what the Obama administration does, and its motives. Its all a series of random occurrences, where motivation has no influence on actions. Obama just so happened to finalize two-year negotiations to release Bowe Bergdahl just as the VA scandal was heating up? It was obviously a calculated move to distract from the administration’s handling of the VA. Americans have seemingly lost the ability to discern cause, and effect.

So, as the game goes, the average American voter will see no connection between the resignation of Eric Holder as Attorney General, and the fact that the Obama administration has recently been forced to release documents regarding the Fast and Furious gun running scandal, which they had previously kept locked up tight. But there’s obviously a connection, and it’s a big deal. Let’s break this down:

Russia’s state-run OAO Rosneft (ROSN) said a well drilled in the Kara Sea region of the Arctic Ocean with Exxon Mobil Corp. (XOM) struck oil, showing the region has the potential to become one of the world’s most important crude-producing areas.

The announcement was made by Igor Sechin, Rosneft’s chief executive officer, who spent two days sailing on a Russian research ship to the drilling rig where the find was unveiled today. The well found about 1 billion barrels of oil and similar geology nearby means the surrounding area may hold more than the U.S. part of the Gulf or Mexico, he said.

“It exceeded our expectations,” Sechin said in an interview. This discovery is of “exceptional significance in showing the presence of hydrocarbons in the Arctic.” ‘'…..

Sanctions forbidding U.S. and European cooperation with Russian entities mean that country’s nascent Arctic exploration will be stillborn because Rosneft and its state-controlled sister companies don’t know how to drill in cold offshore conditions alone, she said.

“Extrapolating from a small data sample is perhaps not going to give you the best information,” Hudson said in a telephone interview. “And because of sanctions, it looks like there’s going to be less exploration rather than more.”

Obama, Hagel and other U.S. leaders have insisted that the new American troops do not represent “boots on the ground” and will not see combat as they advise and help command Iraqi forces.

An additional 300 members of the Army’s oldest continuously operating division, called The Big Red One for its shoulder patch, which features the numeral “1” stitched in red, will be sent to the Central Command theater in the Middle East, ready to enter Iraq if needed. Currently, thousands of American troops are based in Kuwait.

GM Korea is seeing its Damas minivan and Lobo minitruck selling favorably after resuming their production last month.
The carmaker on Wednesday said it has sold 3,100 units of the Damas and Labo since it started accepting pre-orders in late July.

"Customers will be able to get a car around December if they order now," it added.
The Damas and Labo sold more than 20,000 units last year, but production was halted early this year due to strengthened safety and environmental regulations.
However, small business owners, who are the main consumers of the vehicles, continued to demand them, so the government decided to exempt the two models from the new regulations for the next six years.

GM Korea has enhanced production facilities for the two vehicles with an investment of W20 billion.

Health insurance policies in California will have to cover all federally approved contraceptives for women by 2016 without charging copayments under legislation signed this week by Gov. Jerry Brown, countering trends in other states and the U.S. Supreme Court.

The bill, SB1053 by Sen. Holly Mitchell, D-Los Angeles, expands state laws that required coverage for most birth-control drugs and devices approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The new law mandates coverage for all FDA-approved contraception, prohibits co-payments and includes managed-care Medi-Cal plans, which are not expressly covered by current laws.

"No woman in California will any longer face the prospect of a health plan second-guessing or overruling the medical or family planning needs she and her health care adviser deem best for her,” Mitchell said in a statement Thursday after Brown signed the bill.

Police said Friday a man recently fired from a food processing plant in an Oklahoma City suburb beheaded a woman with a knife and was attacking another worker when he was shot and wounded by the owner of the company.

The 30-year-old man, who has not been charged, stabbed Colleen Hufford, 54, severing her head in Thursday's attack at Vaughan Foods, Moore Police Sgt. Jeremy Lewis said.

Lewis said the man then stabbed Traci Johnson, 43, a number of times before being shot by Mark Vaughan, a reserve sheriff's deputy and the company's chief operating officer.

"This was not going to stop if he didn't stop it. It could have gotten a lot worse," Lewis said.

Lewis said the suspect had been fired in a building that houses the company's human resources office, then immediately drove to the entrance of the business. Lewis said he didn't know why the man was fired.

A growing number of Korean users are migrating to foreign mobile messenger services in what is seen as “cyberexile” after the country’s prosecution threatened to step up real-time monitoring of social media to crack down on libelous rumors.

The prosecution’s much-disputed clampdown on online rumors and mobile messages came last week shortly after President Park Geun-hye blasted
groundless online accusations, arguing that those malicious postings would divide the public and damage social cohesion.

Park’s criticism is linked to the prosecution’s unprecedented move to investigate a Japanese journalist for allegedly writing libelous reports on the South Korean president’s whereabouts on the day the Sewol ferry sank in April.

As public outcry rose against the prosecution’s move, the prosecution claimed its monitoring would be limited to malicious commentators on major portals, not messenger services.
But Korean users remain skeptical about its official stance and expressed fear their private messages on mobile apps such as Kakao Talk would be closely monitored by authorities.
The prosecution plans to investigate and, if necessary, indict those who write malicious comments online, even if the injured parties do not file for libel.

Tens of thousands of young families caught crossing the border illegally earlier this year subsequently failed to meet with federal immigration agents, as they were instructed, the Homeland Security Department has acknowledged privately.

An official with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement revealed that about 70 percent of immigrant families the Obama administration had released into the U.S. never showed up weeks later for follow up appointments.

The ICE official made the disclosure in a confidential meeting at its Washington headquarters with immigration advocates participating in a federal working group on detention and enforcement policies. The Associated Press obtained an audio recording of Wednesday's meeting and separately interviewed participants.

On the recording obtained by the AP, the government did not specify the total number of families released into the U.S. since October. Since only a few hundred families have already been returned to their home countries and limited U.S. detention facilities can house only about 1,200 family members, the 70 percent figure suggests the government released roughly 41,000 members of immigrant families who subsequently failed to appear at federal immigration offices.

A new study shows that the number of immigrants in the United States jumped 3 percent in three years — to a record 41.3 million in 2013 — and that the nearly 300,000 who came from Muslim countries pose a major national security threat, the report's co-author told Newsmax on Thursday.
"All of that does raise national security concerns, and I don't think there has been any consideration of that," said Steven Camarota, research director for the Center for Immigration Studies.
The Washington-based nonprofit organization released the study on Thursday. It is based on an analysis of Census data from 2010 to last year. Camarota conducted the study and co-authored it with CIS demographer Karen Zeigler.
"The primary threat from a group like ISIS to the homeland is through our immigration system," Camarota said, referring to the Islamic State terrorist group that has beheaded three Westerners in recent weeks.

South Korea is stepping up efforts to strengthen its air defense with its final approval this week of a deal to purchase 40 F-35 radar-evading warplanes for deployment from 2018 through 2021 at a cost of 7.3 trillion won ($7 billion). 

The approval came amid growing concerns that the South Korean Air Force could face a shortage of warplanes in the coming years, with a project to develop indigenous warplanes a decade behind schedule. Regional powers’ push to acquire their own stealth fighters also affected Seoul’s decision to choose Lockheed Martin’s F-35.
Before the final decision, there was an intense dispute about whether South Korea really needed stealth fighters to deal with the threats posed by North Korea, which is struggling with its outmoded military hardware and underfed soldiers.
High procurement costs and the development delays caused by the discovery of defects in the F-35 while it was still under development had added to the skepticism about Seoul’s purchase of the fifth-generation fighter jets.

But the final decision suggests that long-term strategic calculations prevailed.
Given that the new fighters will be used for the next three to four decades, the South needs to procure the most advanced fighter platform, and the purchase of the F-35 could send a strong message to the North that the South could quickly secure air superiority in case of North Korean aggression, analysts said.

Eric Holder Jr., the nation's first black U.S. attorney general, will resign his post after a tumultuous tenure marked by civil rights advances, national security threats, reforms to the criminal justice system and 5 1/2 years of fights with Republicans in Congress.

President Obama said on Thursday that Holder, 63, intends to leave the Justice Department as soon as his successor is confirmed, a process that could run through 2014 and even into next year. A former U.S. government official says Holder has been increasingly "adamant" about his desire to leave soon. Holder and President Obama discussed his departure several times and finalized things in a long meeting over Labor Day weekend at the White House.

Holder already is one of the longest-serving members of the Obama Cabinet and currently ranks as the fourth-longest tenured AG in history. Hundreds of employees waited in lines, stacked three rows deep, in early February 2009 to witness his return to the Justice Department, where he previously worked as a young corruption prosecutor and as deputy attorney general — the second in command — during the Clinton administration.

But some of that early glow faded in part due to the politicized nature of the job and in part because of Holder's own rhetoric, such as a 2009 Black History Month speech where he said the country was "a nation of cowards" when it comes to discussions about racial tension.

Five years later, violence erupted between police and protesters in Ferguson, Mo., after a white policeman killed an unarmed black 18-year-old. And this time, the White House dispatched Holder to speak his piece, in effect jump-starting that conversation and helping to settle nerves in the frayed community.

A radical nonprofit Islamist group the FBI has banned from its Muslim outreach activities as a suspected terror front will feature a key White House adviser at its annual fundraising banquet Saturday in Washington.

The Rev. Al Sharpton, a close Obama adviser, will headline the event sponsored by the Council on American-Islamic Relations, a suspected Hamas front group whose executive director has recently come under NSA surveillance. CAIR lists Sharpton as its “keynote speaker” on its website.

CAIR and Sharpton share a common cause in lobbying Congress and the administration for a ban on racial and religious profiling by law enforcement.

In recent years, Sharpton and CAIR Executive Director Nihad Awad have pledged solidarity on the issue of civil-rights.

Awad, who’s the subject of an ongoing federal investigation into his ties to Hamas, joined Sharpton at last month’s funeral for Michael Brown, the black teen who was shot to death by police in Ferguson, Missouri. Awad has called on Muslims to join African-Americans in protesting the case.

Syria’s opposition had pleaded for the strikes, especially after a jihadist assault on a strategic Kurdish town in northern Syria over the last week sent tens of thousands of terrified residents fleeing across the border to Turkey.

IS militants have warned the U.S.-led campaign would be met with a harsh response and an IS-linked Algerian group on Monday threatened to kill a French hostage within 24 hours if Paris did not end its participation in air strikes in Iraq.
Washington said the strikes from the sea were carried put from U.S. warships operating in the Red Sea and the Gulf and that 47 Tomahawks were fired.

Fighter jets, bombers and remotely controlled aircraft were used for the air strikes, which the five Arab nations “participated in or supported.”
“All aircraft safely exited the strike areas,” it said, adding that four air strikes were also conducted Monday in neighboring Iraq, bringing the total number of U.S. raids in that country to 194.

It said eight strikes were also carried out on a group of “seasoned al-Qaida” veterans west of Syria’s second city Aleppo to disrupt an “imminent attack plotting against the United States and Western interests.”
Jordanian government spokesman Mohammad Al-Momani told AFP the country’s warplanes had taken part in strikes against IS in Syria and Iraq as “part of our efforts to defeat terrorism in its strongholds.”

President Obama returned a formal military salute by saluting with a coffee cup he had in his hand as he stepped off his U.S. Marine Corps helicopter in New York on Sunday.

MIT STUDENTS DEVELOPS ITS OWN CHEETAH ROBOT SIMILAR TO BOSTON DYNAMICS

Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) researchers have developed a cheetah-shaped robot they believe will run faster than Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt.
The institute's Biomimetics Robotics Lab developed the robot, based on the osseous structure of a cheetah. The robot can run at 16.1km/h and jump on an object 33cm high. The researchers expect the robot can reach 48.28km/h, faster than Bolt can run.

This is not the first cheetah robot. Boston Dynamics has developed a robot that is faster than the MIT robot. But, according to news reports, the MIT robot moves quietly and runs on electricity, not gasoline.

The MIT robot was presented at the IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems in Chicago from September 14 to 18.

IS THERE HOPE FOR A SINGLE KOREA–GERMANY TO AID WITH ADVISORS IN REUNIFICATION LEARNED

Korea and Germany will set up an advisory panel to convey the lessons Germany learned from reunification, the Foreign Ministry said Thursday.
Korea's Ambassador to Germany Kim Jae-shin and German Vice Foreign Minister Markus Ederer met in Berlin on Thursday and signed a memorandum of understanding agreeing to create the panel.

It will consist of 12 to 14 senior foreign-ministry officials, academics, and former bureaucrats from both sides. The two governments have begun searching for members and a several German government officials who were directly involved in the unification of East and West Germany will be included.

A Foreign Ministry official here said the panel will study the so-called "2+4 Talks" that took place during German unification, which also involved the Soviet Union, the U.S., U.K. and France and seek the support of Korea's regional neighbors for reunification of the Korean Peninsula.
