IT’S not the marble fireplace or looking glass pool that give the “neoclassical masterpiece” listed for sale at 36 Indian Creek Village its $25 million price tag.
The six-bedroom home is located in Florida’s Indian Creek Island, a ‘billionaire bunker’ home to 85 of the world’s one percenters including supermodels, sports stars and tech billionaires.
The luxury enclave is an incorporated city made up of just 41 lots separated from the mainland via a bridge. Only residents and members of an exclusive country club are allowed access, with the perimeter patrolled 24 hours a day by a dedicated municipal police force in boats and on cycles.
Real Estate agent Jill Eber said the resort-style luxury is a given but the real drawcard is the privacy and security it offers.
“Indian Creek is a totally private community. They have their own mayor, the police force is at the gates and the waterways. The homes are totally encompassed by water and in the middle is a private club and 18-hole golf course.”
