Winning the battle for hearts and minds in the gun control debate has been a losing proposition for the far left.
Fighting against 2nd Amendment rights may make for good political theater in some urban or progressive voting districts; but beyond that, it’s becoming increasingly hard to see a political upside to flogging gun control. Why?
Because people don’t want it. And they’re wanting less of it, in greater numbers, than ever before — despite years of crisis-mongering from the Obama administration.
Gallup reported Monday that a majority of Americans — 56 percent — believe that “more concealed weapons would make [this] country safer.”
Then on Thursday, another Gallup poll appeared, showing that nearly 6 out of every 10 Americans “have a favorable opinion of the NRA.”
