JAPAN GETS A MAGNITUDE 6.8 AT 10:08PM LOCAL TIME OVER NAGANO PREFECTURE

A magnitude 6.8 earthquake shook Nagano Prefecture in central Japan at about 10:08 PM Japan time on Saturday.
Japan's Meteorological Agency says the focus was at a depth of about 10 kilometers in north of the prefecture.
The Agency says there is no danger of tsunami.
The tremor registered intensities of 6 minus on the Japanese scale of 0 to 7 in parts of Nagano Prefecture.
Intensities of 5 were recorded in areas including neighboring Niigata Prefecture.
Tokyo Electric Power Company says there are no reports of damage caused by the quake at Kashiwazaki Kariwa Nuclear Power Plant in Niigata Prefecture.
East Japan Railway Company says travel on part of the Nagano Shinkansen bullet train has been suspended.
