Developmental models
The Hwasong-12, Musudan and
Pukguksong missiles form part of a new generation of Kim Jong Un's
developmental weapons that appeared at a military parade in April. The
missiles, all now successfully tested, are pushing the boundaries of
North Korea's current technological capabilities.
First tested on July 4, 2017. The second test flight on July 28, 2017 indicates a potential range of over 10,000km.
Kim’s rocket stars
After a successful missile launch, Kim Jong Un is often seen exchanging smiles, hugs and a celebratory cigarette with the same three men. The three, shown with Kim in photographs and TV footage in North Korean media, are of the key figures behind the country’s rapidly accelerating missile programme and of great interest to Western security and intelligence agencies.http://graphics.straitstimes.com/STI/STIMEDIA/Interactives/2017/08/north-korea-missile-programme-reuters/index.html
