With master driver Jack Peters at the wheel, I ride shotgun
as we roam the highways and byways of Orange County picking up Uber
riders and doing our best to stay alive.
A young man in a blue Toyota Corolla so new it still has
stickers on the windows navigates the 405 Freeway with both hands
texting. In Costa Mesa, a silver sedan runs a red light in front of us,
crosses four lanes of traffic and blasts onto the 55 Freeway like
there’s no tomorrow.
If rocketman continues his what-me-worry driving style, it’s
likely there indeed will be no tomorrow for someone and — sorry pal —
hopefully it will be only you.
Armed with 2.5 million miles of asphalt under his tires and a
background of classes on defensive driving techniques, Peters is on a
mission to ensure the innocents survive.

"... It is only in this way that we can hope to arrive at truth, and fulfill the great responsibility which we hold to God and our country. Should I keep back my opinions at such a time, through fear of giving offense, I should consider myself as guilty of treason towards my country, and of an act of disloyalty toward the Majesty of Heaven, which I revere above all earthly kings."....I know not what course others may take; but as for me, give me liberty or give me death!"
