IBM TO BUILD IN KOREA ITS CLOUD 20,000 SERVERS–MSM TO DO THE SAME–MAKING SK SUPPORT CLOUD SERVERS FROM THE NUMBER 1 AND NUMBER 2 SW COMPANIES–THE REASON CHEAPER ENERGY COST FROM ITS 23 NUCLEAR POWER REACTORS TO POWER ITS BUSINESS ENGINE

The world's second largest software company IBM will build a cloud data center in Korea next year.
No decision has been made on the exact location, but the center will manage at least 20,000 servers, according to an IBM executive on Thursday.
IBM is going to establish data centers in 10 locations, including Asia, Europe, North America and Oceania. Currently, IBM has only one Asian regional data center in Hong Kong.
Korea will then host data centers for both the world's largest software firms since Microsoft early this year also announced plans to build one here.
Korea is thought to be a more suitable location than Japan or China because it is less prone to natural disasters, electricity is relatively cheap, and maintenance staff are excellent.
